Classics Never Die

Lately I'm going through a 50's-60's phase. I was always fasicanted by the 50's-60's style but never lived up to it until recently.  It partially has to do with the fact that I'm now living on my own, which somewhat gives me a freedom to purchase and decor however I wish too without much financial restrain.

The overall idea I wanted to express is that I love vintage because it carries a air of familiarity.  There's something about it gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling of security. Maybe it's just psychology working on me, because I know that the item or whatever style it may be carries some sort of unique history pertaining to each decade.

Funny thing is, instead of being attracted to the women's style, I've been leaning more towards the men's style with the large leather messenger bag/briefcase and the glasses.  If I could find myself a large circle skirt with lots of volume, I would actually like to pair it with the masculine wear I own to make it more contemporary. I love pairing men and women's wear together, but most people find that odd. That's another story for another day.
